I am the space where I am
“An imaginary room rises up around our bodies, which think that they are well hidden when we take refuge in corner. Already, the shadows are walls, a piece of furniture constitutes a barrier, hangings are a roof.”
Gaston Bachelard [Poetics of space]
I designed a house as a metaphor of big tree with intimate corners as a haven. Trees with mystery of corners existent indefinitely beyond the veil of the earth, tree-trunks, branches and leaves, space that is transparent to our eyes, but simultaneously veiled for action, are veritable psychological transcendents. This house is a trip and haven with these kind of world composed of corners. We wander depending on air, habits or feelings and create an own corners. My body sensed me and I was already a corner in it. That is, I am the space where I am.
