Zigzag Garden on the Triangles
Triangular site
The site has a triangular shape. The wide entry points are converged into one vertex. Thanks to this, people's gazes and movements naturally gather and then disperse.
How can this social and psychological movement (mobility) of the triangle be deeply related to the program (garden) and people's experiences?
Engraved/misaligned boundaries
If the triangular site has a kind of completeness, we cut it out as if sculpting it. The inconsistent boundaries created by this imperfect composition/arrangement create relationships with incomplete, indeterminate, and unintentional senses.
A total of 104 granites (600X600) are arranged as if sculpting along the perimeter of the triangle, as if they were shifted, and the middle was empty as if a tooth was missing. People move in a zigzag through the displaced, empty space, and various experiences are possible through unique movement lines and locations.
Zig zag garden
The stickleback male is said to perform the famous zig-zag courtship dance to seduce her female. The proposal of the Zig Zag Garden allows people to experience the garden in a variety of ways, even though it is a small site. as if seduced.
삼각형의 대지
대지는 삼각형의 형상을 갖는다. 넓은 진입부가 하나의 꼭지점으로 모아진다. 덕분에 사람들의 시선과 움직임이 자연스럽게 모아졌다가 흩어진다.
삼각형이 갖는 이 사회적, 심리적 운동(가동성)을 프로그램(정원)과 사람들의 경험에 깊이 관계할 수 있는 방법은 무엇일까.
조각된/어긋난 경계
삼각형의 대지가 일종의 완결성을 갖는다면, 우리는 그 완결성을 조각하듯이 잘라 나갔다. 이 불완전한 구성/배치가 만드는 어긋난 경계는 마치 미완의 것, 비결정적인 것, 의도치 않은 감각과 관계를 만든다.
총 104개의 화강석(600X600)이 삼각형의 둘레를 따라 조각하듯, 어긋나듯이 배치되며, 중간중간 이가 빠진 듯 비워져 있다. 어긋나고, 비워진 공간을 통해 사람들은 지그재그로 움직이며, 독특한 동선과 위치를 통해 다채로운 경험을 하게 된다.
지그재그 정원
큰가시고기 수컷은 암컷을 유혹하기 위해 그 유명한 지그재그 구애춤을 춘다고 한다. 지그재그 정원의 제안은 비록 작은 대지이지만 사람들로 하여금 다양한 방식으로 정원을 경험할 수 있게끔 한다. 마치 유혹하듯이.
